Week 43 Summary Operation Get Fit No Excuses

Welcome to November and Week 43 in my Operation Get Fit journey. This week I have been battling Epilepsy related issues, including seizures. While I was able to exercise most of the time, I did miss a couple of days because I just didn’t have the strength to do it. On a good note, I was able to meet my October challenge of doing a minimum of 21 workouts for the month.

I’ve been struggling with motivation the past few weeks. I have noticed that I try to make excuses, like telling myself that I don’t need to workout every day since I met my goal weight. When this happens, I mentally remind myself that it’s not about weight loss, it’s about getting healthier and maintaining it. So, I get up every day and do something.

I have been limiting my exercise to 30 minutes a day so that I don’t get too tired. I have also tried to find new trainers and videos to follow so that I don’t get bored performing the same routines. The weather has also played a factor in the type of daily workouts I’ve been doing because this week has been really nasty outside. With my knee bothering me, I have stayed away from high impact workouts.

I have to admit that I have also cheated more on my diet than I normally do. Sometimes after certain types of seizures, I crave sweets. So, I had a couple of days where I ate more pastries than normal. Luckily, my metabolism is at a place where it can handle the extra sugar now and not make me gain weight. Of course, I felt guilty after eating so many sweets, but I know it’s not an every day occurrence.

While daily workouts have become routine for me, it’s still a struggle not to backslide into my old ways. I don know if I will ever get to a place where I don’t struggle with being motivated to exercise, but I will always try to keep myself going. Thankfully, I have a very supportive partner that helps me when I’m struggling. I want you all to know that you aren’t alone in that.

This week’s report is short, but that’s all I have for now. Thank you for your encouragement and support. See you next week!
