Operation Get Fit: October Challenge

It’s time for an Operation Get Fit No Excuses update. It’s definitely been a busy summer for me. Now that we’ve moved into Autumn and October, things are slowly returning to normal.

I wasn’t as attentive during the summer months doing my workouts regularly, but now I’m getting back in the swing of things. This past week has been challenging due to Epilepsy related reasons, but I am not allowing it to stop me, although it did slow me down.

On October 1st, my Apple Watch issued me a new fitness challenge for the month to close my activity, exercise, and stand rings a minimum of 18 times. What that means for me is that I have to burn 470 calories or more during daily activities, exercise 30 minutes per day, and make sure I stand up for one minute every hour for 12 hours. All of this is within a 24 hour period.

I would like you to join me and make your own challenge! Pick a daily goal that will personally challenge you, whether it’s step counting or calories burned. Write that goal down and start keeping track every day this month. You can download an app for your phone to keep track, or research and invest in a fitness watch. They make many types to fit most every budget and personal lifestyle needs.

If you would like to share your results with me, you can tag @MichelleFegatofiLifestyle on FB; send me a direct message on that same page; or message me here on my website. I would be very honored to be your cheerleader through this!

If you have limited mobility, there are several different types of chair exercises I found on YouTube that I can recommend for you. If you want to start certain types of workouts in your own home but need help finding the right video for you, I can help with that as well. All of the videos I recommend are free on YouTube and are for varying levels of fitness.

Coming soon, I will be offering one-on-one personalized coaching services to help you start your own journey to living a healthier lifestyle by guiding you through picking the right diet, helping you find workouts that work for your current level of fitness, and\or being there just for encouragement. I’ll be listing these services and taking appointments in the near future.

The type of plans I will offer are all natural solutions. They won’t involve weird or fad diets, diet pills, nor require extreme amounts or kinds of exercise.

Let me be clear in stating that I’m not a certified trainer, nutritionist, or doctor of any kind. But, I have done a lot of research and I’ve found what works for myself and my partner’s needs, nutritionally and exercise wise. During that research, I’ve learned so much about health and wellness that I’m confident I can help you.

Thank you for reading and following! As always, feel free to leave comments or suggestions below. See you next time!
